In this series, I paint places around Portland that collectively create a sense of home or belonging to the city I currently live in. I combine concrete imagery from locations such as the farmers market and the parks I take my daughter to daily with the more intuitive, psychic or purely emotional responses I have to those places. I consider these paintings postcards from Portland as their small size resemble the proportions of postcards.
